Harry David Baldridge, age 60, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on December 17, 2024, in the care of UW Health University Hospital in Madison, WI with his loving wife at his bedside. He had CNS myeloma which is a complication of multiple myeloma. He was born on November 12, 1964, to the union of Harry Moss Baldridge and Francis Annette Culver in Minden, LA.

Harry had a brilliant mind and was a talented machine operator. He especially enjoyed operating Ponsse harvesters for many years. He loved the solitude of the woods, which made his career as a logger even more enjoyable. But the highlight of his career was the years he worked with his beloved son, Clayton. They were an awesome team. Later, when Harry became physically unable to do some of the duties, Clayton was always there. Harry's illness finally rendered him disabled. He didn't get to enjoy retirement like he had hoped, but he was able to impact lives during his cancer journey.

Harry had drive and determination and could do anything he set his mind to. All his life, with everything he did, he had perseverance. We called it that "push" that helped him push through whatever it was. He held on to life with a tight grip and fought hard stay with his family as long as he could.

He got to live in some interesting places which helped him to add new friends to his list. He was able to travel to many states through the years and especially loved it "out west"  His precious daughter, Callie, was blessed by his spontaneous nature one year when they decided, and left the next day, to take a trip out west together.

When Harry was asked what his hobbies were, he would say, "riding a motorcycle." He always said he liked the feeling of freedom he felt while riding. He could pop a wheelie like no other.

He was a very loving man, and it showed to all his family, friends, and acquaintances. Most of all, he loved his Lord. His last words were, "Jesus, I love you."

Harry is survived by his devoted wife of almost 28 years, Laura (Carpenter); his children, Callie Nehls (Ryan) and Clayton Baldridge; mother, Annette Erskins; sisters, Karen Gardner (Steven) and Kristan Green; uncles, Pat Baldridge (Phyllis) and Chris Baldridge; aunts Maudine Green, Betty Culver, and Shelby Tinnerello; niece and nephews, Mackenzie, Nicholas, and Brendan; special family friend, Anna Ulrich; and many cousins, extended family members, and friends that he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Moss Baldridge, and more recently, his adoptive father, Bobby Erskins.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Welcome Home Baptist Church in Dodson, LA.  A celebration of life will be immediately following at 11:00 am, also at the church. Officiating the funeral are Rev. Kevin Womack, Rev. Chris Bennett, and Rev. Charles Wesley.
