Mrs. Gwen "Susie" Barrett Lucky, age 64 of Georgetown, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.

Born Monday, April 21, 1958 in Winnfield, Louisiana, she was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where she taught the young adults Sunday School class for a number of years. She was retired as a Registered Nurse having worked with Rapides Regional Medical Center, Bankston Home Health and Haven Home Health where she was Assistant Director of Nursing. She enjoyed traveling, horses, camping, but most importantly, her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy E. Lucky.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Lacey Russell and husband, A. J.; parents, Joe and Gloria Green Barrett; grandchildren, Lane Russell and Avery Russell; brother, Jack L. Barrett and wife, Marcia; nephew, Colby Barrett; and her canine companions, Maggie and Roxy.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Lamar Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:00 PM until time of services.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Richard Maxwell, Richie King, Devin Sauce, Travis Maxwell, Lawrence Jones and Jarrett Jones.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Beulah Baptist Church Building Fund, 1386 Beulah Rd., Winnfield, LA 71483.
