George Holland Norman, Sr., 81 of Calvin, Louisiana was received into Heaven on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Born Sunday, August 18, 1940 in Wattsville , Louisiana, he was the son of the late Marshall and Ima Louisa Guthrie Norman. Mr. Norman was a member of Bethel Church of Christ.  George had many titles during his life, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and U.S. Army Veteran.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Patsy Ann Dauzat Norman, sons George H Norman, Jr., Kenneth Wayne Norman (Donna), James Daniel Norman (Rachelle); daughter Brenda Norman Schroeder; grandchildren, Brandon, MaKayla, Eric, Benjamin, Jessica, Whitney, Zachary, Andrew, Devin, Cole, Tristan, Zachary and Braydan; fifteen great grandchildren.  He is also survived by brothers Mitchel Norman, Randy Norman, and Hudson Norman as well as two sisters Barbara Norman Waller and Martha Norman Moffit.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael Ray Norman; brothers, William Lynn Norman, Ernest Monroe Norman, Marshall Gwin Norman; and one sister, Patsey Marie Norman Newton.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Bethel Church of Christ from 5PM until 7PM, and again on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 9AM until time of services.

Funeral Services will be at Bethel Church of Christ on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 10AM with Rev. Freddy Shows officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Calvin, LA.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Justin Norman, William Moffit, David Dauzat, Benjamin Norman, Dylan Thomp, and Brandon Schroeder.
