Mr. Gene R. Terral, Jr., age 74, of Goldonna, Louisiana passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024, after a long fight. Gene was born in Royal Oak, Michigan July 3, 1950. Gene was an outgoing, loving and caring man with the biggest heart.

Gene was the oldest of five children, two siblings proceeded him in death. He graduated from St. Francisville High School in 1968. He then enlisted in the National Guard in 1969 and was honored discharged in 1974.

Gene married Debbie J. Hemphill April 11th 1970. Gene and Debbie had 2 children from this marriage. Gene was a Salesman and local business owner for over 30 years. He loved to ride horses. He would give anybody the shirt off his back if they needed it. He was the most loving, caring, and big-hearted person.

Gene was survived by partner, Mylinda Riddle; son, Jeremy Douglas Terral; daughter, Desiree Nicole Terral Lang; grandson, Gabriel Lee Lang; granddaughter, Layla Jane Clark; son-in-law, James C. Clark; previous wife, Debbie Hemphill Terral.

Gene was also survived by sisters, Jewel Cloud and Grace Cox; brother in law, Leroy Cloud; nephews, Trey Cloud, Chris Terral, and Josh Terral; nieces, Misty Cloud, Janice Lawson and Valerie Berry; and numerous other cousins, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Southern Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Richard Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in Transport Cemetery, in Dodson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again  on Monday from 11:00 AM until time of services.

Pallbearers will be James Clark, Trey Cloud, Josh Terral, Lodan Riddle, Chris Terral and Spence Gaar.
