Fred M. Young, age 77 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021.

Born Tuesday, March 14, 1944 in Winnfield, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his parents, Travis E. Young and Rosa Elizabeth Jordan Young; his sister, Charlotte Young.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Janis Young; sons, James Mitchell Young (Angela), Kevin Glen Young (Teresa); grandchildren, Raven Harrington, James Young, Corey Young, Peyton Rhone, Hannah Young, Josh Young, Anthony Pine, Cheyenne Bartley, Eden Womack, and Timmy Pine; great grandchildren, Tyler Harrington, Jacy Harrington, Bentley Martin, Karra Martin, Major Young, Zaydon Young, Aubrey Boyd, Iverson Boyd, Brantlin Young, and Decklin Young; his brother Travis Lee Young (Cherry); and his sister, Dorothy "Sug" Young.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Southern Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Weatherford officiating. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery in Atlanta.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be James Young, Corey Young, Josh Young, Anthony Pine, Timmy Pine, and Brad Tilton.
