Evelyn Lucille (Richardson) Crooks, 89, of Jena, Louisiana was received into Heaven on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

She was born on Sunday, March 6, 1932 to the union of Hardy C. and Rosa (Patten) Richardson.

Mrs. Crooks was a homemaker and member of Midway Baptist Church. Charter member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie E. "Pomp" Crooks, her parents, two brothers, Hardy Richardson, and Virgil Richardson, and her sister Elsie Miller.

Those left to love and miss her include her daughter, Janice Marie Crooks Nolan & husband Kenneth; two granddaughters, Anna Nolan & Marshall Chapman and Emily McMillin & husband James; five great grandchildren, Hunter Nolan, Parker Roark, Andrew Roark, Macee McMillin and Colter McMillin, all of Jena.  One brother Huey Richardson & wife Dorothy of Pineville; two sister-in-laws Glenda Johnson, and Brenda Deville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021 at 5:00PM until 8:00PM.  Funeral Service will be graveside in the Jena Cemetery on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021 at 10:00AM, with Rev. Mike Russell officiating.
