Evelyn (Moser) Baker, age 93 of Quitman, made her Heavenly appointment on Friday, May 2, 2025.  Evelyn was born in Jackson Parish on Friday, September 4, 1931 to the blessed union of Henry and Bessie (Anderson) Moser.  She loved to keep busy and pass the time gardening and crocheting.  She enjoyed getting out and looking for a good yard sale to explore.  When it was game time she could be found watching football.  She was a loyal Saints and LSU fan; through the good, the bad, and the ugly.  She cheered them on through the good times and knew how they could have done better in the bad times.  Evelyn also enjoyed attending Ansley Church until she could no longer drive.  Evelyn's heart belonged to her family.  She loved her children dearly and treasured her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  When it came to her grand babies she ate, slept, and breathed just to spend time doting her love on them.

Those left to cherish her precious memory are her children, Robert L. Baker, Roy Baker and Kim, Ronda Baker, and special friends and family members, Donnie Edwards and Sally; grandchildren, Trey Blalock and Danielle, Jourdan Caskey, Ashton Masters and Ryan, Lauren Huddleston; great grandchildren, Klea Blalock, Kutter Blalock, Krewe Blalock, Kensley Caskey, Rylen Caskey, Remi Upshaw, Lily Upshaw, Tucker Masters, Haigen Fenn, Owen Stevenson, and Mason Huddleston, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Baker; great grandchildren, Starlin Blalock; parents, Henry Rufus and Bessie Lillian (Anderson) Moser; siblings, Cecil Culpepper, Willie Mae Moser, and Herman Moser.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, May 8, 2025 in the chapel of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home from 10:30 AM until time of funeral service.  Funeral services are set to begin at 11:00 AM with Bro. Joey Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow in Ansley Cemetery under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Trey Blalock, Rylen Caskey, James McCullen, Ryan Masters, Remi Upshaw, and Gavin Musgrove.
