Emmie Bernice Clark Thompson, 80 of Jena, Louisiana passed from this life on Friday, July 2, 2021 in Jena Nursing and Rehab Center of Jena, Louisiana. She was born Thursday, September 12, 1940 in Rhinehart, Louisiana to the union of Thomas Phillip and Elmer Rose Clark. She was a lifelong resident of LaSalle Parish. She loved her family and all grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the precious time spent with them.

Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Cecil Ray Thompson, Jr. (Meredith) and Anthony D. "Tony" Thompson (Kelly) of Jena, LA. Grand children Jarred Thompson (Jenni) of Jena, Connor Thompson (Riley) of Appleton WI., and Clark Thompson (Vanessa) of Woodland Park, CO. Also two great-grandchildren Beau Riley and Beckham Ray Thompson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 57 years Cecil Ray Thompson, Sr., brothers Perry Clark, Marion Clark, and Johnny Clark, sisters Gladys Tarver, Ella Sumrall, Missouri Hopkins, Ernestine Swindoll, and Diane Heflin.

Visitation and Service will all be held on Monday, July 5, 2021 in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home from 9AM to 11AM with Rev. Byron Norris officiating. Interment will follow in Hurricane Creek Cemetery in White Sulfur Springs, Louisiana.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hurricane Creek Baptist Church, Building Fund, or Cemetery Fund.
