Mr. EH Lashley, age 87 of Atlanta, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022.

Born Friday, January 18, 1935 in Verda, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel Oglesby Lashley and Homer Lashley; wife, Omeria Dubois Lashley; and daughters, Gayle Grillette and Delores Mercer.

Mr. Lashley began working at the age of 11 and worked until he was 86 years old. Over all those years he worked pipelining, logging, and for the Town of Montgomery.

Those left to cherish his memory include his granddaughters, Amy Mercer (Troyce) and Shonda Bruce (Andy); grandson, Joshua Bryant; great grandchildren, Hillary McNaughton, Kathlena Mercer (Jack), Danielle Bryant, Gage Gibbs, Coby Bruce, and Cameron Bryant; and 10 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Southern Funeral Home, from 8:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Dick DeBusk officiating. Interment will follow in the Oglesby Family Cemetery, in Verda.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Tommy Wayne Lashley, Rodney "Punkin" Lashley, Ronnie Lasyone, Gage Gibbs, Joel Bryant, and Randy Cotten.  Felix Mercer , Colby Bruce and Cameron Bryant will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
