Dorothy DuBois, age 77 of Montgomery, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.

Born Wednesday, October 20, 1943 in Aloha, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ora Adell Ferrier DuBois and Monroe DuBois; her first husband, Sgt. Robert Oliver; brother, Mervyn DuBois; and grandchildren, Chasity Humphrey and Jaycee Carter.

Mrs. DuBois worked in the Grant Parish School System for 27 years in various roles. She was the coordinator for the Montgomery High Alumni for 27 years. Mrs. DuBois loved fishing, hunting, decorating, and gardening. She had a true passion for soft-ball and was one of the best women's slow pitch pitchers in the state. Her pride and joy was her family. One of her greatest characteristics was finding the good in people. Mrs. DuBois loved the Lord and was a faithful Christian all of her life.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Vic DuBois; daughters, Veronica Carter and Mandy Kuhlmann; sons, Terry Oliver and Michael DuBois; grandchildren, Stephanie Ferrier, Kelsey Ducote, Carlee Carter, Terry Oliver, II, Callie Atwell, Jalen Kuhlmann, Craig Griffin, Chelsey Kuhlmann, Christa DuBois, and Cade DuBois; great grandchildren, Chaslynn James, Lilah Ducote, Jolee Ducote, Cashton Carter, Rhett Atwell, and Flynn Atwell; sisters, Shirley Roberts, Effie McManus, Marydell Brumley, and Carolyn Sanders; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Montgomery Church of Christ, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM , and again on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at the church from 9:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Montgomery Church of Christ with Bro. David Antee officiating. Interment will follow in French Cemetery, near Verda, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Terry Oliver, Terry Oliver, II, Michael DuBois, Craig Griffin, Hershel Sanders, and Royce McManus. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Roberts, Steve Carter, Vane Kuhlmann, and Brandon Brumley.
