On February 23, 2026, Donnie Ray Miller passed away peacefully at his home in Quitman surrounded by his wife, daughters and other family. Donnie was a just a "good old country boy."  He was raised in Claiborne Parish in the little town of Lisbon. On October 29, 1969, he met the love of his life, Janis Corley.  They were married on December 12, 1970, and had four daughters, whom he loved with all his heart.

Donnie found much pleasure in hunting and fishing. He loved to fish on Lake Claiborne because he knew it so well. He caught many Opelousas catfish and shared his bounty with everyone.  He was known by many as "the catfish man."  From October through January, Donnie could often be found in the woods with his dogs, searching for a big buck. Each year, he proudly supplied his family with venison.

Donnie was a proud United States Air Force veteran and he worked for Rock Ten for 39 years, one day, and one hour.  He retired in 2012.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Janis (Corley) Miller; cherished daughters, Candi Roge' (Tracy), Dana Plunkett (Todd), April Roller (Chris) and Julie West (James); grandsons, Dawson Miller, Kody Roller, Kameron Roller, Kaden West and Kyler West (Skylar), Kace West, Kaleb Roge', David Todd Plunkett, Devin Plunkett, Kane Roge' and Klay Roge'; soon-to-be great-grand child, Kodi Kayt West; brothers, Johnny Miller and Bill Miller (Pat); numerous nieces and nephews; and his loving dog, Jaci.

Donnie was preceded in death by his father, Felton Miller; and his mother, Mildred Josielee (Gray) Miller.
