Donald Wayne Coleman, 85 of Winnfield, passed away after a lengthy illness on July 15, 2025, surrounded by his wife and children.Don was born May 19, 1940 to George F. Coleman and Claudia Sandifer Coleman in Jena, Lousiana.Before retiring, Don had many trades: Pipelining, driving big trucks, running a sawmill, drilling oil wells, to running multiple tourist businesses in Branson, Missouri, and marketing at Club Marketing Services in Dallas, Texas, where he was affectionately known by everyone as "Uncle Don".His greatest passion was his family.  Don loved when all of his family was together.  One of his favoirite pastimes was Friday and Saturday nights at the dirt track racing cars with his sons and son-in-law.Don will be remembered by his work ethic, generosity towards others, his quick witted sense of humor, and love for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George F. Coleman and Claudia Sandifer Coleman, step-mother, Beda Anders Coleman, brothers, Glen Coleman and Jack Coleman, sister, Margie Coleman Bowman, and son-in-law, John M. Parker.

Don is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Alice Taylor Coleman, daughter, Donna Coleman Parker, sons,  Daryl W. Coleman and Derek W. Coleman (Melissa), brother, George Coleman, and sister, Sylvia Williamson. Grandchildren, Heather Parker Pickett (Jeff), Claudia Parker (Cody Ortego), Joshua Parker (Emily), Dallas Coleman, Zack Coleman, Zoie Coleman, Makayla May (Jeff), and Cade Coleman (Baylee). Great Grandchildren, Parker, Madison, and Coleman Grantadams, John Luke, Taysom, and Connor Womack, Randi Claire, and Jack Henry Parker, Elana Jade Coleman, Emmett and Scarlett May, Crue Coleman, and great-great grandson Hayze Rachal. Nieces and nephews, Kenneth Coleman, Jackie Coleman, Sharon Bowman, Sandy Bowman, Curtis Bowman, Dalton Lott, Albert Williamson, Peggy Williamson, Caleb Coleman, Candi Coleman Gartner.  A host of great-nieces and nephews whom he loved very much, and especially had a closeness to Christy Henderson, Jennifer Robertson, Amy Lott, Jennifer Lott, Matthew and Nathan Gartner, Scott Coleman and Michelle Coleman Savage.

The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice for their caring and compassionate attention to his needs.

Services will be held at The Family Church in Winnfield on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Justin Fisher and Brother Nathan Newton officiating.  Interment will follow in the Squires Cemetery near Jena, Louisiana under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Visitation will be Friday, July 18, 2027 at The Family Church in Winnfield,  from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
