Mr. Don Michael Bordelon, 61, of Winnfield, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024, in Winnfield. He was born on May 22, 1963, in Morgan City, Louisiana, to John Harold Bordelon and Sandra Bordelon.
Don was a skilled electrician who took pride in his work, providing for his family with dedication and integrity. Outside of his profession, he found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved the thrill of hunting with his dogs and the peace he got from fishing, spending countless days immersed in the beauty of nature. When not outdoors, Don could often be found working on projects for his mother, always willing to lend a helping hand and spending quality time with his friends and family. He also enjoyed watching football and baseball, cheering on his favorite teams with enthusiasm and passion.
Don is preceded in death by his father, John Harold Bordelon; and his brother, Jed Anthony Bordelon.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Bordelon and wife Jessica of Minden, Louisiana; his daughter, Ali Bordelon; his beloved mother, Sandra Bordelon; his sister, Jamie Dilday and husband Anthony; and his cherished grandchildren, Joanna and Micah Bordelon. He is also survived by his loving girlfriend, Wendy Rowell, whose companionship brought joy and comfort to his life.
The family will receive friends at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Louis Sklar officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Jeansonne, Corey Jeansonne, Brandon Greer, Dustin Bailey, Jacob Dupuis, Clay Reppond, and Jeffery Trim. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Hyde, Tracy Atkins, Anthony Dilday, Clint Joiner, Drake Cain, Dayton Cain, and Jared Rowell.
Interment will be in Couley United Methodist Church Cemetery.
