Dianne Kennedy

Dianne Ford Kennedy, born 6 July 1949, a 35 year resident of Winnfield, passed away 15 September 2026 after a lengthy illness.

Dianne was preceded in death by Parents Henry Bell Ford and Jessie Parker Ford of Shreveport. She is survived by her Husband Michael Kennedy, daughter Michele Kennedy Villalobos and husband Eric German (Ray) Villalobos, daughter Meagan Kennedy Bickham and husband Nathan of Texarkana. She had 11 Grandchildren Phoebe Nugent and husband Ian, Lila, Kaitlin (Kitty), Joaquin (Keno) , Shiloh, Jolee, Miles and Mikko Villalobos, Bristol Lindsay, Malachi and Tobi Frederick, and 3 Great Grandchildren, Benri, Willa and Alistar Nugent.

She was surrounded by her brother: Steve Burt Ford (wife Gayla) and sisters: Teresa Dooley (husband Steve), and Denise Duke.

Surrounding herself with family was Dianne's greatest joy, especially the holidays when the entire clan gathered at her house. Perhaps one of her greatest accomplishments and gifts to the world was her Godly legacy she lived out and transferred the love, submission, and devotion from her family line to her children in response to the calling of Deuteronomy 6:5-7: to Love the Lord with all your heart, Remember what He has done, Teach these things to your children, and Talk about these things as you walk along. Her daily life embodied these things until the very last moments. She was a consistently faithful, gracious, gentle and supportive wife and mother, serving them with tenderness, humility, and grace. She spent her life building up, caring for, and giving of herself freely; with her strength being a quiet one found in her extreme patience, tenderheartedness, and foresight to see what her loved ones needed and fulfilling those needs. She was an attentive wife with a listening ear, supportive words, and assistive hands for any idea or project Mike envisioned, even if just offering a fan during the brutal heat or a meal and massage after a tiring day.

Dianne had a heart for service for everything she did, promoting the best from everyone she met. She had a special gift being able to make people of any age - baby to elderly- any economic position - in need or affluent - and any intellectual spectrum feel welcomed, heard, comfortable, accepted, and important. Whether in church as a youth activities leader or in the community where she served as a Lions Club officer locally and at the state level, she was loved for her warm disposition, kindness and servant heart. She led an active social life participating in women's groups, choir, marriage groups, walking with friends and serving them in practical ways such as yard work or cleaning.

Dianne had a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and was a fun and engaging kindergarten teacher for 13 years. She also homeschooled her daughter Meagan while leading Girls In Action missions and girl scout groups, 4-H club, creating and leading chimes and handbell classes for preteens, and organizing local homeschool field trips.

Her life displayed the Lord's goodness, kindness, and controlled purpose by extending her life and filling it with enrichment overflowing His love with Dianne as a conduit for over 62 years after a detrimental potentially fatal diagnosis. In the evenings you could find her on the couch with the open Bible and a constant influx of preaching tapes, videos and worship music.

To know Dianne, was to know what kindness and love feels like.
