Diana Marie Smith, age 78, of Winnfield, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born on October 11, 1946, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Alexander Edward Billiot and Fredia Washley Billiot.

Diana was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a longtime and faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, where her quiet faith guided her daily life. Known for her firey spirit and warm heart, she found joy in the simple things—especially in crocheting beautiful gifts for those she loved. Her greatest joy, however, was found in her family. She was wholly devoted to each generation she helped raise, nurturing them with unwavering love, encouragement, and care.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Smith; her parents; and her brothers, Vincent Billiott and Ernest Billiott.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Diana Caskey of Winnfield; her sons, Frank Smith, Jr. and John Smith; grandchildren, Danielle Caskey Morgan (Arron), Gabrielle Caskey LeBaron (Casey), Matthew Caskey and Tyler Smith; great-grandchildren, Gilliana, Zane, Paxton, and Emma; and great-great-grandchild, Levi; nephews, Vincent Billiot and Steven James Billiot. Her legacy continues to shine brightly through each of them.

Serving as pallbearers will be Arron Morgan, Matthew Caskey, Clay Ingles, Cole Ingles, Jr. Procell, and Frank Smith.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Louis Sklar officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery.
