Delores (Sizemore)
Masters
Nov 25, 1936 — Nov 15, 2025
Jonesboro
Delores (Sizemore) Masters passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in Ruston, Louisiana, at the age of 88. A devoted Christian, Delores found great joy in serving her church, McDonald Memorial Baptist, where she faithfully taught Sunday school for more than 40 years. Alongside her sisters, Peggy and Jeanette, she also shared her love of ministry by teaching vacation Bible school on Oklahoma Indian reservations.
Delores and her husband, Doyle, treasured their time together hunting, fishing, and spending peaceful days at their camp on Black Lake. She was happiest with her hands in the soil, caring for her flowers and plants, or in the kitchen cooking for family and friends—none of whom ever left her table hungry. Her life was one of faith, service, and generosity, and she will be dearly missed.
Delores is survived by her children, Debra Newton & Charlie, Rickey Masters & Rebecca, Derinda Caskey & Travis and Dana Hall & Reggie; grandchildren, Heath Newton & Kim, Nathan Newton & Holly, Cody Newton & Shae, Robyn Buchan & Michael, Ryan Masters & Ashton, Regina Kittler & Andrew, Toby Caskey & Nikki, Darryl Caskey & Morgan, Raimy Hall & Sarah, Kelsey Hall, and Skylar West & Kyler; 23 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Harvey & Arnold; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Franklin Sizemore; mother, Lucille (Peyton) Sizemore; husband of 57 years, Doyle S. Masters; sister, Jeanette Horn; and brother-in-law, Buel Horn.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at McDonald Memorial Baptist Church in Jonesboro from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM with Bro. Nathan Newton officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories in Jonesboro, under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home.
