David Ray Russell, age 58 of Chatham, was called home on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.  He was born on Monday, September 21, 1964 in Jonesboro, Louisiana to Clifford and Betty (Pool) Russell.  He loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He was a man with a big heart and always had a helping hand to lend to anyone who needed it.

David leaves his siblings behind to cherish his memory, Billy Russell, Shelby Daffron, Jesse Russell and wife Chelsea, Deborah Johnson and husband Stacy, Mary McManus and husband Tim, Sandra Russell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Dewin and Betty Jean (Pool) Russell.

His family plans to hold a memorial service at a later date.
