David Eugene "Gene" Robertson passed away on November 19, 2024 in Farmerville, Louisiana, while doing what he loved- hunting.  He was 66 years old.  Gene loved to joke and have fun.  There was never a dull moment when he was around. His family says he should have been a meteorologist because he continually checked the "Weather Channel" for the local forecast.  Gene's passion was spending time with his many grandchildren.  He loved them dearly.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Kathy (Persons) Robertson; mother, Ellen May Robertson; adopted kids, David D. Womack, Scianna Myles, Nicholas Myles, Andria Hemby, Bruce Hemby and Robert Coonce; grandchildren, Camden Womack, Spencer Womack, Kaitlyn Womack, Carson Hemby, Annaleese Hemby, Jaxon Hemby, Elouise Myles, Evangeline Myles and Emilia Myles; Siblings, Shirley Dean, Gary Robertson & Joyce, and Cathy Knighten & Eddie.  Gene was preceded in death by his father, Marlon Robertson.

Friends may visit with the family at Full Gospel Christian Center in Jonesboro, on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.  The funeral service will begin at 12:00 Noon with Bro. Billy Mac McBride and Bro. Eli McBride officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Grove Cemetery near Garr's Mill in Winn Parish.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Spencer Womack, Nicholas Myles, Lee Brown, Braxton Brown, Devon Jordan, Marlon "BoBo" Jowers, Corey Persons and Dennis Robertson.
