Mr. David Michael Dick, 69 of Dodson, Louisiana passed from this life on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield, Louisiana.

Born Saturday, March 27, 1954 in Texas City, Texas, he was the son of the late William Dick, Jr. and the late Lee Smith  Dick.

David was an individual that was loved by everyone. He was one of the most kind-hearted, compassionate people that made the world a little brighter place. He loved history and had a passion for guns. He will be greatly missed by his community and all those who had the opportunity of calling him friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Luther and Lee Smith Dick; brother, James Dick; grandparents, W. L. & Ruth Dick, Sr.; nephew, Michael Dick; great nephew, Colby Dick; as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are sister, Belinda Ann Butler; nephew, Brian Butler (wife Christina) Children: Ashtin, Trintin, Katietin; niece, Kimberley Shannon (husband Craig), Children: Ava, Parker, Kylie; niece, Lanette Harris (husband Scott) Children: Brennan, Briggs; sister-in-law, Sharon Willingham; brother-in-law, Denis Butler; as well as Aunts & Uncles, Patsy James, Carl Dick, Jerry & Judy Dick, Jimmie Dick.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Atlanta Baptist Church in Atlanta, Louisiana  on Friday, November 24, 2023.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday at Atlanta Baptist Church with the Rev. Craig James, Rev. Chad James, and Rev.Ty James officiating. Interment will be in Atlanta Cemetery, Atlanta, Louisiana under the direction of Southern Funeral Homes, Winnfield.

Those honored to serve the family as pallbearers are Brian Butler, Adrian James, Stanley James, Todd Causey, Jerry Dick, and Leve Vidrine. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Harris and Carl Dick and David James.
