Darlene Vogel Anderson, age 76 of Calvin, Louisiana, passsed away Monday, March 27, 2023 at a hospital in Shreveport. after a short illness.

Darlene worked as a bookkeeper and office worker for Winn Forest Products, NAPA and Price Beville Smith. She was an active member of Calvin Baptist Church, where she was the Secretary as well as holding various other positions through the years. She really enjoyed cooking and tending to her plants at home. Her true enjoyment was preparing Sunday lunch for her family and spending time with her kids, grand kids and great-grand kids. If you could not find her at home or work, it was because she and, the absolute love of her life, Phillip were on another spontaneous "adventure"

Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents Rita Vail Guilliams, J. T. Guilliams and Herman "Dutch" Vogel and one brother Johnny Bonnette.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Phillip Anderson, two children Shannon Anderson (Tina) and Gllynda Lenard (Shannon), her grandchildren Kristyne Anderson, Slade Anderson, Scout Anderson, Sidney Anderson, Scott Lenard, and Bailey Lenard; great-grandchildren Ryleigh, Audrey, Jaxon, Stone, Saylor, and Silas. She also leaves to cherish her memory two brothers Herman Vogel (Kerri), Sherman Vogel (Gail) and a sister Kathy Barlett (Steve) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Calivn with Rev. Billy Ver Hoef officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Friends may visit with the family in the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Anderson, Slade Anderson, Scout Anderson, Sidney Anderson, Shannon Lenard, and Scott Lenard. Honorary pallbearers will be Kristyne Anderson and Bailey Lenard.

Flowers are welcome, however the family request that any memorial donations please be made to Calvin Baptist Church, St. Jude's Childrens Hospital and or SHriners Hospital for Children.
