Danny Earl Brown, Sr., 78 of Jena, Louisiana passed from this life on Sunday, October 22, 2023.

He was born to the union of Earl Lee Brown and Edith Nell (Wallace) Brown on Tuesday, February 6, 1945, in McComb, Mississippi. Danny was Department Head of the Radiology Department at LaSalle General Hospital, also the Deputy Coroner for over 30 years.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Garry Brown.

Those left to love and miss him are his son Danny E. Brown, Jr. & wife Lisa of Jena,  two  daughters Dawn Brown of Jena, Hannah (Brown) Crain & husband Brian of Baton Rouge, a sister Kay (Brown) Johnson of Bogue Chitto, MS, a brother Edward "Eddie" Brown, of Bogue Chitto, MS, four (4) granddaughters Callie (Brown) Smith, Brittany (Ewing) Emfinger, Jessie Ewing, Kristin Ewing, three (3) grandsons Ethan Brown, James Crain, Jordan Crain, fifteen (15) great grandchildren, and one (1) great great grandson, a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home, from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens with Pastor Brian Crain and Bro. Daren Smith officiating. Mr. Danny will be laid to rest following the service in the Woodland Cemetery, east of Jena on Hwy. 84, under the directions of Kinner & Stevens.

Those honored to serve Mr. Danny and the family as pallbearers are Ethan Brown, Dustin Emfinger, Matthew Cruse, Austin Thompson, Jonathan Peppers, Dustin Emfinger, Jr., Kyler Emfinger, and Greyson Smith. Honorary pallbearers are James Crain and Jordan Crain.
