Daniel Lammon Keiffer, age 72, of Goldonna, Louisiana, entered into rest on Thursday, April 17, 2025, in Goldonna.

Born on Sunday, November 2, 1952, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Daniel—known fondly to many as known to many simply as Lammon— a salt-of-the-earth kind of man—hardworking, good-humored, and never far from a good story or a fishing pole. A mechanic by trade, he was the kind of fella who could fix just about anything, and if you ever pulled up needing help, he was already reaching for his tools before you could ask. He had a knack for spinning tales about hunting and fishing, often with a grin and a little sparkle in his eye, and you could count on a laugh, some wisdom, or both by the time he finished talking. There was nothing fancy about him—and that's just how he liked it.

A devoted outdoorsman through and through, Lammon found his peace in the woods and on the water. Deer season was a sacred time, and he spent many a morning slipping through the pines with quiet patience and respect for the land. He loved asking folks if they'd killed a "thirdy point buck" lately—his way of sparking a conversation and hearing about what y'all had been up to. Hunting and fishing weren't just pastimes to him, they were part of who he was.

He was a simple man with a big heart. He didn't need grand gestures to show he cared. He showed up. He listened. He fixed what was broken. And he shared his time and stories freely with those lucky enough to know him.

Lammon was preceded in death by his father, Lee Keiffer; mother, Willie Mae Longino Keiffer; brothers, Harvey and Clifton Keiffer; and his beloved son, Brandon Keiffer.

Those left to carry on his memory include his loving wife, Kim Keiffer of Goldonna; sons, Jonathan Daniel Keiffer and Joshua Lammon Keiffer and wife Katie; grandchildren, Bradley Keiffer and Brooklyn Hayes; and a whole host of nieces and nephews who will remember his laughter, his stories, his helping hands, and his steady, comforting presence.

Lammon's family wasn't defined by blood alone. If you were his friend, you were his family—and he made room for you without hesitation. He had a quiet way of pulling people in, making them feel welcome, needed, and cared for. He didn't seek attention or recognition—he just lived by what felt right. That kind of steady love leaves a mark that doesn't fade.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield, Louisiana, with Rev. Shaun Garner officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 9:00 AM and continuing until the time of service.

Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Johny Giddings, Kenny Davis, Brooksie Baker, Herman Tatum, Bud Nealy, and Jason Keiffer. Honorary pallbearers include Morgan Keiffer and Cassie Brown.
