Dana Beth Miller Collins, 71, of Atlanta, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at her home on October 31, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of a life beautifully lived.
Dana was born on November 17, 1954, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, to Robert and Evelyn Miller. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, dedicated teacher, and faithful servant of the Lord.
Dana is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Craig Collins; her two daughters, Cacy Morgan and husband Justin, and Caity Wilson and husband Mike; her brother, TL Miller and wife Sandra; and her seven beloved grandchildren, Michael Wilson, Liam Morgan, Brenyn Wilson, Truett Morgan, Emery Wilson, Conrad Morgan, and Elliot Morgan. Her grandchildren brought her immeasurable joy, and she treasured the special bond she shared with each of them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Evelyn Miller, and her sister, Shelley Miller.
Dana devoted 38 years of her life to teaching, a calling she carried out with love, patience, and dedication. She was much more than a teacher to the countless children who passed through her classroom. She was a source of encouragement, kindness, and inspiration. Her influence reached far beyond the classroom walls, and the lives she touched throughout her teaching career will forever be a part of her legacy.
Dana's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was actively involved in her church and spent many years leading worship, sharing her beautiful voice and love for the Lord with others. She had a passion for singing and used her gift of music to bring joy, comfort, and encouragement to those around her.
