Connie Louise Rush Reed, 67, of Winnfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at her home. Connie was born to the late Bertis and Alice Rush on May 26, 1958 in Many, Louisiana. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Connie's life was defined by her selflessness, kindness, and her deep love for her family. As a caretaker, she spent her life putting others before herself, nurturing everyone around her with a warmth that made her beloved by all who knew her. Whether cooking a family meal, tending to her animals, or simply being present for those she loved, Connie's compassion was endless.

Her passion for cooking was unmatched, and her kitchen was often filled with the smells of her latest culinary creation, a place where many cherished memories were made. She also had a special bond with her animals, who brought her comfort and joy throughout her life.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Bertis Rush, and her brother, Tom Rush. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will live on in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Connie is survived by her three daughters, Roxan Compton and her husband Macy, Nicole Gaar and her husband Brian, and Lacey Moody; eight grandchildren, Hailey, Holly, Daniel, Ava, Libby, Bella, Annistyn and Benjamin; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Williams, Johnny Rush, Keith Rush and wife Angela, Bertis Rush and wife Sharon, Susan Woods, Betsy Andrus and husband Charlie; and her special friend, James White.

Memorial service arrangements will be announced by the family at a later date.

Connie will be missed deeply by all who knew her, but her love will continue to live on through the generations she leaves behind. Rest in peace, Connie—your legacy of love and care will never be forgotten.
