Mrs. Christie Delane Monnin, age 44 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022.

Born Thursday, December 22, 1977 in Hull, Texas, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, W. A. and Doris O'Bryan and Hezzie and Doris Creel; and her mother-in-law, Vida Monnin.

Christie was employed as a nurse and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, and "Nannie" to her grandson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Terry Monnin; her mother, Dorethea Creel; her father, William H. O'Bryan; her children, Katherine Laughlin, Alyvia Monnin, and Garrett Monnin; her grandson, Kingston Blunt, and her sisters, Nancy Rankin and Sherri Rankin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Old Union Cemetery, in Joyce.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and again on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of services.

Pallbearers will be: Charles Brantley, Stephen Sharp, Jonathan Webster, Elijah Harper, Jimmy Johns, and Casey Johns.   Al Sharp will service as a honorary pallbearer.
