Chase Reagan
Mcmanus
Dec 18, 2012 — Dec 28, 2023
Winnfield
Chase Reagan McManus, age 11 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023 as the result of a tragic accident.
Chase, born on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, in Monroe, Louisiana, affectionately known as "Chester" embodied joy, exuberance, and a lightning-fast spirit reminiscent of Flash himself. To know Chase was to adore him. As a student at Winnfield Middle School, he shone brightly, demonstrating exceptional intellect with the quiet wheels of his mind always in motion.
Chase was not only a mastermind of fun but also a clever and kind individual. His creative approach to enjoyment left an indelible mark on those lucky enough to share in his adventures. Despite his lively nature, he had a warmth that made him cold-natured, and he reveled in the comfort of snuggling with those close to him. Labeled as loyal by his friends, Chase was often found tagging along with the big boys showcasing his affable nature and genuine camaraderie.
Remembered as a happy, confident, and contented young man, Chase's legacy will forever be intertwined with the memories of his infectious spirit and the joy he brought to those around him. In loving memory, we celebrate the cherished life of Chase, who touched the hearts of many. Those privileged to hold his memory dear include his devoted parents, Trey and Lacey Gorham McManus; his beloved sister, Finlay McManus; and his cherished brother, Micah McManus.
A circle of love and support embraces his memory through his grandparents: Toby Gorham (Rebecca), Lori Adams Rawls (J.R.), and Tracy and Vicki McManus. His legacy extends further through great-grandparents Neva Barr, Maxine Pharr, and Jerry and Carolyn McManus.
In addition to this close-knit family, Chase is fondly remembered by aunts, uncles, cousins, and relatives, including Amber Zambie (Chris), Kain and Sara, Mark Meyers, Pyron and Nellie, Brad McManus (Jenene), Claire, Bella, Sadie, Declan, Sophia, Aunt T, Uncle Josh, Landry, Uncle Tony, Aunt Liz, and numerous other cherished family members and friends.
Funeral services to honor and celebrate Chase's life will take place at 2:30 PM on Monday, January 1, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Winnfield, with Dr. Jerry Pipes and Rev. Steven Smithson officiating. Following the service, interment will be held at New Jerusalem Cemetery of Winnfield under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Monday at the Church from 11:00 AM until time of services.
