Charlotte V. Creed passed away at The Carpenter House hospice Shreveport facility Thursday May 27, 2021 with her sister Mary Norris by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.

Charlotte was a graduate of Northwestern  State University in Natchitoches La with a Master's plus 30 education. She became a high school teacher and women's coach where she touched numerous students and athletes lives. During her basketball coaching time in Jena and then Hammond, Charlotte had teams go to the Sweet Sixteen State finals with several State runner up titles and a state championship title. She was also named Coach of the year in 1972. She then became Northwestern State University's first full time women's basketball and volleyball coach helping to develop their women's athletic program.

Always an animal lover, Charlotte then turned her interest to breeding and showing Pomeranian dogs. She founded the Southland Pomeranian Kennel and produced many champions and multiple Best in Show winners. She remained active in the American Pomeranian Club after retiring from showing and breeding Poms and became a mentor to many starting in the business. Charlotte made so many friends from around the world and will be remembered for generously sharing her time and talents with them.

Left to cherish Charlotte's memory are her sister and her husband, Mary and Rickey Norris, nephews Mark Creed and wife Terri, Max Stacy Creed, nieces Lesley Lattier Anderson and husband David and Cari Creed. She is also survived by two great nephews, one great niece and our cousin (other sister) Shirley Bridges and husband Eddie, sisters in law Gay Scallan and husband David and Darlee Creed. Charlotte was predeceased by her parents Herman and Bertha Creed, brothers William (Bill) Creed and James Herman Creed.

Charlotte was blessed that she was able to experience the tremendous outpouring of love from her family, many friends and very close loved ones. Her kindness, determination and love will be greatly missed by all who knew her. As she stated, she had a "living memorial". She chose to be cremated and per her wishes there will not be a memorial service. Her family thanks all of you for the love you shared with her and would like to especially thank Charlotte's close friend Sharon Hicks for her help and support during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Kennel Club.
