Charles Renay Tant, age 77 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

Born Monday, August 21, 1944 in Lumberton, Mississippi, he was preceded in death by his parents Gay Dimple Tant and Wafford Renay Tant; and his sister, Kathy Whiddon.

Charles loved buying, selling, trading and fooling with antique cars. He was a logger by trade. Charles participated in many car shows across the country. He enjoyed playing and singing country music and was a lifetime member of the Hank Williams Museum in Montgomery, Alabama. Most of all Charles loved his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Bobbie Lott Tant; children, Chuck Tant (Lisa), Kim Tant Parker (Chris), and Ashley Young; step-children, Lynn Denny (Mark) , Jason Lott (Amy) , and Michael Lott; siblings, Don Tant (Susie), Royse Tant (Pam), and Darnell Tant Vice (Rick); grandchildren, Christopher Heritage, ColtonTant, Fallon Hover, Christopher Parker, Marlyn Flaherty, and Brantlin Young; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Corinth Baptist Church, from 11:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Blaine Ussery, Rev. Yancy Martin, and Rev. Lamar Carpenter officiating. Graveside services will at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Bullock Cemetery in Sanford, MS with Rev. Terry Terrel and Bobbie Tant's son, Jason Lott officiating, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Jeff Kennon, Glenn Ammons, Andrew Tant, Hayden Lasyone, Colton Tant, and Mark Denny.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Corinth Baptist Church, 700 Highway 472, Winnfield, LA 71483.
