Mr. Charles Michael Parker, 70, passed away suddenly on March 24, 2022, at his home in Winnfield, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Charles Darrow and Mary Nell Box Parker grandparents Jay Monroe and Lena Dempsey Box, and Jesse James and Eula Crain Parker, and infant sister Dewanna Parker.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Jessie Jay Parker, Opelousas, Louisiana, sister Deborah Parker Arnold (Eddie),Vicksburg, Mississippi, two nieces, Heather Mabry and Renita Smiley, and his longtime companion, Sonya Feibel, Many, Louisiana and her son, Ross Soderberg.
Mike was born March 31,1951 at Vance Air Force Base, Enid, Oklahoma. Being the child of a military parents, he lived in such places as England and Japan as well as various places in the United States. His family settled back in Winnfield, Louisiana in 1964 where he graduated high school in 1969. He pursued his upper education at then Northeast Louisiana University, Monroe, Louisiana, where he graduated with a B.A. in Business. After several years working in South Louisiana, working in Winnfield with his dad at Central Industrial Supply Inc., and various stints living and working in Alexandria, Louisiana, he eventually retired back to Winnfield living in the home he always loved on Maple Street
He was extremely well read, a bible scholar, a lover of almost alltypes of music, and had a genuine good heart. His favorite quote was God is Good All the Time. He truly believed that.
There will be a graveside memorial service in the near future.
