Charles Dale Mitchell, age 87 of Belah, Louisiana was received into Heaven on Thursday, December 15, 2022.
He was born on Sunday, November 17, 1935, in Jena, Louisiana, to the union of his parents John Hubert Mitchell and Alice Fradonia (White) Mitchell.
Dale worked for his dad moving houses, then in the early 70's he bought the business from him. He worked the business until the early 90's and closed it. He worked for the Police Jury for some time. Dale never met a stranger, he was always smiling and ready to talk, did not matter what about. He will be missed greatly by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Evelyn Estelle (Corley) Mitchell, his parents, two brothers Bennie Wayne Mitchell, and Albert Maxwell Mitchell, one sister Melba (Mitchell) Campbell & husband Ovie, two sisters in law Verna Appleby, and Verla Stringer, two brothers in law Lewis Corley, and Matthew Corley and a niece Robin Slack,
Those left to love and miss him are his son Tim Mitchell & wife Theresa, one sister Diane (Mitchell) Jones & husband Joe, two grandsons Cody Mitchell (Sarah) and Matthew Mitchell, (Krysten), 4 great grandchildren Nate Mitchell, Addi Mitchell, Riley Lemonine, & Blakely Mitchell, three sisters in law Virginia Mitchell, Bess Slack, and Linda Nolker, two brothers in law Harold & wife Nelda Corley, and Bill Appleby, and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Chapel of Kinner & Stevens, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Chapel of Kinner & Stevens with Rev. Randy Ray and Bro. Paul Daily officiating. Mr. Dale will be laid to rest following the service in the Belah Cemetery, in Trout, Louisiana under the directions of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Charles Stevens, Twyman Appleby, Brandon Jones, Gerald Mitchell, Doug Campbell, and Stephen Nolker.
Honorary pallbearers are his nephews and all the men who worked for him at Mitchell & Mitchell House Moving.
Following the committal service, family and friends are invited to Bro. Paul Daily's office to reminisce and enjoy good food.
