Charles Edward Liles, 73 of Saint Martinville, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at St. Frances Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Charles was born Tuesday, September 6, 1949, to the union of the late Barney Liles and the late Inez Wright  Liles. He was the husband of Ginger "Gin" Robertson  Liles.  Charles, "Chuck" as he was affectionately known, grew up in Immokalee, FL and joined the US Army and served in the Vietnam war beginning in 1969. He also served in South Korea as head of an installation on the DMZ. Mr. Liles spent his working career as an Industrial Electrician in various industries which ended in his retirement  after 30 years from Lasuca Sugarmill in June of 2019. His retirement renewed his love for bowling. Chuck had made many new friends at his favorite spot, "Cajun Bowl".

He is preceded in death by his parents, Barney Rufus Liles and Inez Wright Liles; brothers, Barney Liles, Jr., and Calvin Liles; his In-laws, Lee Mack and Vera Jean Robertson; sister-in-law, Cecile Jeanenne Robertson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Ginger "Gin" Robertson Liles, Saint Martinville, LA; children, Charles Anthony Liles (Kim) of Lafayette, LA. Steven Edward Liles (Jessica) of Memphis TN, Nicholas Eddie Rufus Liles (Trista) of Abbeville, LA. & Kristen Lee Baudoin of Sprindale AR.; eleven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren; siblings, Roger Liles and Brenda Liles; in-laws, Randy and Belinda Robertson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday at Southern Funeral Home located at 202 E. Lafayette St. Winnfield, Louisiana 71483 with the Reverends Randy Robertson, Jessie Henderson and Craig James officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Dodson, LA.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Southern Funeral Home, 202 E. Lafayette St., Winnfield, Louisiana.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Charles Liles, Ian Grouvillia, Noah Liles, Tyler Hennigan, Levi Bridges and Caleb J. Baudoin. Honorary pallbearers will be Connor Grouvillia, Sydney Liles, Allison Bustin, and Ethan Liles.
