Charles Earl Lasyone, age 78 of Dodson, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022 in Alexandria, Louisiana following a brief illness. Earl was born on September 23, 1944 in Winnfield, Louisiana to the union of Jewel Roosevelt and Rosie Alice Bratton Lasyone. He is the last- surviving child of Jewel and Rosie.
Inducted into the Louisiana Logger's Association Hall of Fame in 2012, Earl was a log cutter for 50 years. When he wasn't practicing the lost art of cutting timber, Earl was likely to be found cruising a tract of timber or enjoying a cup of coffee telling a story about hunting or fishing. Always eager to make others laugh, Earl was well-known for his ability to craft an unbelievably believable story. He loved to run hound dogs chasing after deer, rabbits, raccoons, squirrels, and more.
Earl served the people of Winn Parish, Louisiana for 16 years during four terms as police juror, serving a stint as Vice President at one point. As juror, Earl secured funds and prioritized work that improved the infrastructure for the people of Winn Parish.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents Jewel and Rosie Lasyone; wife Elizabeth "Betty" Ferreira Lasyone; son Charles Bryan Lasyone; five sisters Pauline Vines, Neather "Nita" Jacobs, Grace Acreman, Patsy Lasyone, and Eunice Taylor; three brothers Pinkey Lasyone, Waylon Lasyone, and Charlie Burel Lasyone, his twin; and grandson Heath Snowden.

Cardoza, and Carter Melton.
