Charles Raymond
Davidson
Dec 23, 1943 — Nov 4, 2021
Jena
Charles Raymond Davidson, 77, of Jena, went on to his heavenly home on Thursday November 4, 2021 after a hard, fought battle with cancer.
Charles was born on December 23, 1943 to Reverend Ottis and Callie Davidson. He was a hard-working man, having a long career as a logger in the timber industry which is something he enjoyed very much. On July 3, 1965 he married the love of his life, Mrs. Nona Farley Davidson and they enjoyed over 56 years of marriage. He would often refer to her as the most beautiful woman in the world when talking about her and was real proud that she was "his girl". He was a lifelong LSU fan and enjoyed bringing his family to watch the games when they were young. His critique of every play and preparing for the worst would later be an entertaining thing to witness for those who were lucky enough. Charles loved to fish and would often go every day. There is no telling how many he snagged over the years! He also enjoyed providing many fried fish meals. He loved to have a nice looking yard and would mow ten times in a single day if that's what he thought it needed. He was a kind man that loved with all of his heart and would give anyone the shirt off of his back. He was a member of Shady Grove Pentecostal Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ellis Garland Davidson.
He is survived by his wife Nona Farley Davidson. Special buddy and loyal companion, his handsome dog "Jess". Two sons, Brad Davidson and wife Misty and Britt Davidson and wife Kelly. Brother Reverend Gary Davidson and wife Jackie, Brother Brent Farley and wife Reacey, Sister-in-law Mrs. Becky Davidson, Sister JoAlice Young and husband Reverend Curtis, Sister Kathy Smith and husband Reverend Danny, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Also left to cherish his memory are his Grandgirls and their families which he adored: Brooke Calvar and husband John, Brittain Jeane and husband Lavelle, Raegan Watkins and husband Devin, Sawyer Davidson, and Callie Jo Davidson.
