Cecil "Cbo" Allen Etheridge, age 70, of Winnfield, LA, passed away April 13, 2023, surrounded by family. He was born June 18, 1952, in Thomasville, Alabama, to Mr. Houston Etheridge Sr. and Frances "Polly" Etheridge.

Cbo and his family moved to Winnfield, La, in the summer of 1957, where he was a part of the 1970 graduating class at Winnfield Senior High School. After high school, Cbo began to passionately pursue his interests in contracting and detailed carpentry. In 1974, with two-hundred dollars and a pick-up truck, Cecil Etheridge Constructing was established and he was able to bless families and business owners in Winn Parish whether that be building their visions from the ground up or renovating to their specifications. In 2013, Cbo pursued another passion of cooking when he became the owner and operator of Cbo's where families gathered to enjoy home cooked meals. Cbo was an avid fisherman, knowing all the best fishing holes and types of lures needed to draw fish to his line. His favorite pastime was hand-making the perfect lures for himself and friends to use on those special fishing days. Those lucky enough to sit at his table were met with the best fried White Perch.

He was a devoted father to his sons. His greatest joy was getting to experience life through his two young granddaughters, Della Jean and Palmer Kate.

Cbo was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Carver Allen Etheridge. He is survived by his sons Clay Etheridge (Nikita) and Ryan Etheridge (Stratton), two granddaughters Della Jean Etheridge and Palmer Kate Etheridge; brother Houston Etheridge Jr. (Teresa); sister Velma Johns (Mark); and sister Alice Lasyone (Ronnie); as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Serving the family as pallbearers include Josh Browning, Canyon Compton, Damon Fitzgerald, Kendal Fitzgerald, Jerrod Holmes, and Parker Sonnier. Honorary pallbearers include Larry Easterling, Otis Hollingsworth, Marty Maloy, Bo Walker, and Cory White.

Services in Cbo's honor will include the following: visitation at Calvary Baptist Church, Winnfield, LA, on Sunday April 16, 2023, 2:00pm-3:30pm.  Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m with Reverend Trey Etheridge officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Tabernacle Cemetery in Jordan Hill under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank Hand in Hand Hospice for the compassionate care recently received and the medical staff at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center and Dr. Eric Dupree for the wonderful care received throughout the years.
