Carolyn Sue (Skeans) Parkhill, age 80 of Jena, Louisiana passed from this life on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

She was born to the union of James Pershing "J.P."  and Nellie Jaunita (Bell) Skeans on Tuesday, March 24, 1942 in Gainesville, Texas.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents and her son Chad Parkhill.

She leaves behind to love and miss her, a daughter Shelly Parkhill Smith, of Jena, La. a sister Glenna Skeans Vanhoozen Brown, of Nebo, La. brother Larry Skeans, of Gainesville, Texas, and a granddaughter Skylar Smith, of Jena, La.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home of Jena from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens with Rev. Gary Norris and Rev. Todd Norris officiating. Carolyn will be laid to rest in the Nebo Cemetery, in Nebo, La.

Those honored to serve the family as pallbearers will be Johnny Beard, Logan LaFollette, Eric Creel, Stuart Creel, Chase Willis, and Coben Willis,
