Carolyn Ann
Mcmanus Davis
Jan 15, 1941 — Nov 9, 2025
Montgomery
Carolyn Ann McManus Davis, age 84, of Montgomery, Louisiana, entered her eternal rest on Sunday, November 9, 2025. She was born on January 15, 1941, to Alon and Dorothy McManus.
Carolyn lived her life for the Lord and devoted herself to studying His Word daily. She was a faithful member of Mars Hill Baptist Church for more than 60 years. Her unwavering faith guided every aspect of her life.
In her early years, Carolyn cared for children in her home—a calling she found deeply fulfilling. She also had a lifelong love for dogs and shared her home with many over the years. She was often seen driving through the community with her beloved companions happily riding beside her, heads out the window and tails wagging.
Carolyn loved her family dearly and treasured time spent with them, especially during the holidays. She often traveled to Harahan to visit her brother and his family, creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts.
The last three years of her life were spent at Autumn Leaves Nursing Home, where she was lovingly "spoiled" by a caring and attentive staff. Carolyn never met a stranger—her warm spirit and joyful nature made her many friends, and she especially enjoyed the regular activities held there.
She was also a proud veteran, having served four years in the U.S. Army Women's Army Corps (WAC).
Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence "Hotmo" Davis; her parents, Alon and Dorothy McManus; and her brothers, Gerald and Wayne McManus.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sister-in-law, Ann McManus of Harahan, Louisiana; niece, Michelle Zara of Metairie, Louisiana; cousins, Linda McManus, Gary Graves, and Tina Lavespere, all of Montgomery; Billy Graves of Natchitoches; Dennis Graves of Maryland; and Sandra Strickland of Calhoun.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Frank Peacock officiating.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Autumn Leaves Nursing Home, Hand in Hand Hospice, Rev. Frank Peacock, and Southern Funeral Home for their exceptional care and kindness.
