Mrs. Carolyn Babers Bedgood, age 81 of Goldonna, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022.

Carolyn was a member of Goldonna Assembly of God church and shared the love of Jesus through the life she lived. She was known for spending her life singing for Jesus. She was a member of the Lighthouse Quartet and her most requested song was What Heaven Means to Me. Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, always making sure that her family understood the importance of a personal relationship with Christ. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; watching the birds from her porch, beautiful flowers, a new hair-do on Fridays, and Sonic cokes. However, she loved nothing more than being surrounded by her family.

Born Thursday, April 5, 1941 in Goldonna, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley Bell Durbin Babers and Lawson Babers; siblings, Harley Kelley, Lester Kelley, Eloise Sanders, and Polly Babers; daughter, Pam Stewart and great granddaughter, Avery Stewart.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 63 years, Arnold Ray Bedgood; daughters, Beverly Johnson (Mike) and Sheri Johnson (Bo); son-in-law, Dave Stewart; grandchildren, Kim Kirkham (Daniel), Kayla Braswell (Travis), Trent Stewart (Sarah), Ethan Stewart (Angie), Seth Johnson (Sarah), Jordan Johnson (Madison), Kaitlyn Williamson (Tommy), and Hailey Doyle (Jesse); siblings, Louise Jones and Gladys Corbitt; Numerous great and great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Ethan Stewart, Seth Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Jesse Doyle, Daniel Kirkham, and Travis Braswell. Honorary Pallbearers: Trent Stewart and Tommy Williamson.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 29, 2022, at Goldonna Assembly of God, from 9:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Goldonna Assembly of God with Rev. Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Goldonna Cemetery, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
