Mr. Carl B. Parker, age 85 of Sikes, Louisiana passed away July 7, 2023 at Autumn Leaves Nursing Home in Winnfield.

Carl was a lifelong logger. He told so many stories of cutting the timber off Toledo Bend Lake and Caney Lake. Carl Bee, affectionately known to many, loved to spend time at the lakes fishing, water-skiing, and spending time with his girls. Later in life, he loved riding around Sikes with his beloved dog, BoBo.

Mr. Parker was the son of the late Elvie Parker and the late Alma Gertrude Willis Parker.   He was also preceded in death by his wife of 29 years Virginia Garner Parker, brothers Jimmy D. Parker, Travis Parker, and John David Parker, and one sister Jeannie Burrows.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children Sherrie Roberts (Randy), Tammy Quinton (Mark), Linda Clark (Frank), and Renae Jacobs (Tony); eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.   Mr. Parker is also survived by one sister Cheryl Pepper (Garland) and brother Jerry Parker (Ronny) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Parker will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Old Union Cemetery in Joyce with Reverend Gary M. Parker officiating.  Services will be under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Heath Brooks, Kirk Clark, Justin Adcock, Tony Jacobs, Randy Roberts, and Frank Clark.
