Mr. Bruce Crain, a beloved member of the Winnfield community, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on Sunday, March 23, 1947, in Winnfield, LA, he was the son of the late James "Red" Crain and Myrtle Adams Crain.
Bruce was lifelong resident of Winnfield, where he was an esteemed member of Hurricane Grove and enjoyed his passion for fishing. In his earlier years, Bruce worked as a cross-country truck driver and later contributed his time to the Federal Census Bureau. After his retirement, he worked for the City of Winnfield for a number of years.
He is preceded in death by his father, James "Red" Crain, mother, Myrtle Adams Crain, and brothers, Douglas and Jimmy Ray Crain.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Stacey Frederick Crain; his children, Tim Crain (Amy), Robert Crain (Dori), and Dustin Frederick; grandchildren, Alex, Hunter, Anna, Kaitlyn, and Scarlette; great-grandchild, Emerson; brothers, Billy Crain, Jesse "J.L" Crain, and Kevin Crain (Carol); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A public visitation will be held at Southern Funeral Home on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Norris Curry, will follow at 4:00 PM at Southern Funeral Home.
Expressions of sympathy and condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.southernfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Bruce's memory.
Mr. Bruce Crain will be remembered for his warm heart and adventurous spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
