Bobbie Jean Carter, 90, of Montgomery, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2024, in Winnfield, Louisiana. Born on Tuesday, July 17, 1934, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, Bobbie lived a full life marked by faith, love, and cherished memories.

Bobbie was a devoted member of the Montgomery United Pentecostal Church, where her steadfast faith and kind spirit touched the lives of many. She found joy in flower gardening, reading, crocheting, working crossword puzzles, and listening to gospel music.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clifton Hayes; mother, Velma Barnhill Hayes; husband, J. C. Carter; children, Sharon Knighten and Larry F. Berry; grandsons, James Knighten and Dustin Kuhlmann; and two siblings.

Bobbie's legacy lives on through her surviving family: daughters, Charlotte Weeks Perez and Delores McGuire; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM at St. Maurice Cemetery, St. Maurice, Louisiana, with Rev. Donald Givens officiating.
