Bobbie Dean passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on August 30, 2024
after a long illness. She was 90 years old. Bobbie was born to James Virgil Tyler and
Bessie Mae Frank Tyler on April 27, 1934 in Jonesboro, Louisiana. She was ranked in
the top 12 baton twirlers in the nation in the early 1950's. The family moved to Jena,
Louisiana the summer before her senior year in high school. She is survived by her high
school sweetheart and husband of 71 years, Jimmy Dean. In addition, she is survived
by her five children, Tam Roark (David), Tasca Windham (Rick), Ty Dean (Kim), Tracy
Dean (Pam), and Trevor Dean (Janell), 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 5
great-great grandchildren. She was known by all of her grandchildren as Bobbie June.

During her life she enjoyed several hobbies such as photography, painting, and
beading. She loved her cousins, aunts, and uncles therefore keeping the family history
alive with her many stories of their exploits from years gone by. She will be missed by
her family and friends but leaves behind wonderful fun memories of her long life of 90
years.

The family will receive friends at Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home on Monday, September 2, 2024 from 12:00PM until 2:00PM.

Funeral Services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 2:00PM with Bro. Garrett West and Bro. Terry Townsend officiating. Mrs. Bobbie will be laid to rest in the Jena Cemetery located on highway 84 east of Jena.

Those honored to serve the family as pallbearers are Jeremy Cox, Derek Dean, Drew Dean, Nolan Dean, Roger Dobbs, Kenny Estabrook, and Cartez Jack. Honorary pallbearers are Monroe Roark and Chris Windham.
