Mr. Billy Ray McNeely, age 83 of Atlanta, Louisiana pased awayTuesday, June 1, 2021, at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.

Mr. McNeely worked at Troys Super Foods in Winnfield for many years and then later was a CNA at Winn Home Health. He enjoyed gardening and in his younger years hunting. He was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church.

Mr. McNeely was the son of the late William Jefferson McNeely and the late Avis Gardner McNeely. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Lou Jordan McNeely, sister Addie Lee Ivy and a niece Jonette Ivy.

He leaves to cherish his memory two sons Mark McNeely (Melanie) and Michael McNeely (Connie), daughter Michele "Micki" Ferguson (Dan), grandchildren Heath, Alissa, Samantha, Matthew, Hunter and Jordan. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren, his brother Wayne McNeely, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. McNeely will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Lamar Carpenter and Craig James officiating. Interment will follow in the New Union Cemetery near Tullos, La.,

Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and also on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Matthew McNeely, Heath Ferguson, Jordan McNeely, Hunter McNeely, Clint Jones and Jay Ivy. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Ferguson and Kevan Ferguson.
