Billie Jean Brooks Miles of Belah, LA., passed away at 74, on Saturday August 28, 2021. She was born in Urania, LA., to the union of Bill B. Wallace of Norman, OK., and Velma O. Franklin of Harrisonburg, LA. Born on August 7, 1947, she was one of three girls that blessed the Wallace home. Graduating High school she went on to attend Louisiana College where she received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, a degree she put to use working over 30 years in the school systems. She had a passion for gardening.

Billie was survived by her two sisters, Shirley Jeffrey of Jena, and Pat Wallace of Menifee, CA., her three children; Sara Tucker, son K.G. Brooks III, and son Jared B. Brooks and his fiancée Emmy Coldiron, two step-children Christina Poole and her husband Steve, and Donnie Miles and his wife Gerri. Six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband K.G. Brooks, Jr. and second husband Ricky Miles.

Visitation will be held at the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens Funeral home from 9:00-11:00 AM, on Wednesday September 01, 2021, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, also at the chapel of K & S, followed by a graveside at Belah Cemetery in the Fellowship Community. Rev. Brandon Poole will officiate. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are; Austin Tucker, Adam Tucker, Bill Jeffrey, Jordan Brooks, Sterling Barber, and Samuel Coldiron. Honorary pallbearers are; Robert Fowler, Jr., Mack Fowler, Stan Nichols, Joshua Coldiron, and Brody Barber. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Cliff Williams Memorial Foundation.
