Mrs. Billie Lou Richardson Hemperley, age 91 of Dodson, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021.

Born Saturday, November 8, 1930 in Mississippi, she was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mamie Fortenberry Richardson; husband, Chester Hemperley: son, Kerry Wayne Hemperley; siblings, Mary Nell Farmer, Bobbie Sue Gaar, James "Jimmy" Richardson.

Mrs. Hemperley enjoyed gardening, her flowers and loved feeding her birds.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Kim Hemphill (Ronnie) and Randy Hemperley (Cheryl); grandchildren, Justin Hemphill, Shauna Cates, Dustin Hemperley (Erin), Chase Hemperley, Kayla Fleming (Dustin), Brooke Parks (Merkle), Katie Gautreau, Cody Hemperley and Josey Hemperley; great-grandchildren, Makenna, Logan, Bella Brees, Dade, Dax, and Beau Paul.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at New Hope Methodist Church in Dodson with Rev. Shirley Tuff officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until time of services.
