Mr. Bevelyn Lynn Vines, age 79 of Dodson, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022.

Born Thursday, September 17, 1942 in Winn Parish, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline Lasyone Vines and L. E. Vines; and siblings, Jerry Vines, Sammie Fowler, Loyd Vines, Patsy Hemphill, and Barron Vines.

Mr. Vines graduated Dodson High School in 1960. Following high school he graduated Ouachita Vo-Tech after four years in electrical engineering. Mr. Vines was in business for many years. He enjoyed reading.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 58 years, Darlene Vines, son, Benny Vines; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Southern Funeral Home, from 12:00 PM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby McGuire officiating. Interment will follow in Hurricane Creek Cemetery, near Dodson.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Jeff Hemphill, Quinn Hemphill, Darin Hemphill, Kaleb Hemphill, Karson Hemphill, and Shawn Vines. Honorary pallbearers will be Eugene Chelette, Don Shows, Terry Vines, James Cox, and Eddie Gatlin.
