Alice Beth Cockerham Greer, born on September 3, 1940, in Winnfield, Louisiana, peacefully departed this world on March 12, 2024, at Autumn Leaves Nursing Home in Winnfield. She was surrounded by love and care in her final moments.

Beth lived a rich and fulfilling life, touching the hearts of those she encountered along the way. After spending many years in Baytown, Texas, where she served as the dedicated office manager in a doctor's office, Alice retired and eventually returned to her hometown of Winnfield.

She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Winnfield.  Beth was the beloved daughter of the late John Morgan Cockerham and the late Lessie Lea Long Boyd. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Carl J. Greer.

Beth is survived by her adopted family, Tony and Liz McManus, and their children Toni, Josh, and Landry McAllister, as well as Kasey, Daniel, Grace, and Colin Renois. These individuals were not only friends but a source of comfort and joy in Beth's life.

In addition to her adopted family, Beth leaves behind cherished friends, Tom and Jeanie May, Carolyn and Jerry McManus, and her special family and caregivers Sharon Starks, Cynthia Rhodes, Tosha Powell, Dana Whitaker, and Kaye Taylor.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Greer will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverends Tom May and Craig James officiating. Prior to the service on Sunday, friends may visit with the family in the Southern Funeral Home starting at 12:00 p.m. until the time of the services.  Following the service, Beth will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Carl J. Greer, at the Winnfield City Cemetery.
