Anna Janine Robert, a beloved wife, sister, and aunt, passed away on November 14, 2023, at the age of 79. Born on March 6, 1944, to Marjorie Berry Robert and Leon E. Robert Jr., Janine was the eldest of three children.

She grew up in Winnfield, where she attended public schools and graduated from Winnfield High School in 1962. Her academic journey continued at Louisiana Tech University, where she earned a degree in English, and at the University of British Columbia, where she obtained a master's degree in library science.

Janine's career as a librarian began at the University of Connecticut's Business School in Hartford, Conn. She later moved to Vancouver, where she served as a children's librarian for the Vancouver Public Library System. Her passion for reading, which started in her childhood visits to the Winn Parish Library, fueled her dedication to nurturing the minds of others through literature and storytelling.

In addition to her professional achievements, Janine was an avid gardener and served as a guide at the VanDusen Botanical Gardens alongside her husband, Bill. Her Catholic faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was an active member of the cathedral choir at Holy Rosary Cathedral, where she regularly attended mass.

Janine is survived by her loving husband, William Addison of Vancouver, Canada; her brother, Leon Robert, III of Seattle, WA; her sister, Jeanne R. Kinchen of Baton Rouge, LA; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marjorie Berry Robert and Leon E. Robert Jr.
