Ms. A'myria Sha'ree McDonald passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at the young age of 20. A'myria was born on September 17, 2003, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, and lived in Winnfield, Louisiana, throughout her life.

A'myria's vibrant personality and kind heart touched everyone she met. She had a passion for doing hair, a talent she used to bring joy to others. Known for her outgoing spirit, A'myria never met a stranger and quickly made friends wherever she went. She loved shopping, connecting with people, and was an avid user of social media. Her determination and energy were inspiring to those who knew her.

A'myria is preceded in death by her father, Vedric McDonald; her maternal great-grandmother, Johnnie Rainwater; and her maternal great-grandfather, Charlie Cockerham, Sr.

She is survived by her loving family, including her mother, Alicia Cockerham; her brother, Richard Williams, Jr.; her sisters, A'layah Franklin and Asia Thomas; her maternal grandmother, Sarah Cockerham, her maternal grandfather, James Williams, and her aunt, Latasha McDonald. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a public visitation on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at Southern Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Winnfield Cemetery at 1:00 PM, with Reverend Russell Jones officiating.
