Amelda Lynn (Lees) Wiggins, 81 of Bossier City, Louisiana passed from this life on Thursday, August 3, 2023.

She was born to the union of William Fred Lees, Jr. and Ida Louise (Davis) Lees on Saturday, March 25, 1942, in Magnolia, Arkansas.

Amelda was a safety officer in the construction industry, before retiring. She loved to travel with her husband Mitch, as well as cooking and working in their yard making it a special place for them and their family.  She loved her family and her special fur baby Bella.

She was preceded in death by her father William Fred Lees Jr., her mother Louise Lees Melville, a daughter Sheri Lynn Huffman, and a brother Derek A. Lees.

Those left to love and miss her are her husband of 48 years, Mitch Wiggins, son Walter Curt Wiggins & wife Tasha, two sisters Brenda Kendrick Chauvin & husband Blake, and Rhonda Lees Heighington, two brothers Fred E. Lees & wife JoAnn, and H.H. "Sonny" Lees & wife Rhonda, three grandchildren Cully Wiggins, Jack Wiggins, Ella Wiggins and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the graveside on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 10:00AM in the Jena Cemetery, East of Jena on Hwy 84 E with Rev. Tony Ganey officiating.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Brian Lees, Jason Lees, Justin Lees, Cully Wiggins, Jack Wiggins, and Danny Wiggins.
