Alma Irene (Mills) Elliott, age 89 of Jena, Louisiana was received into Heaven on Saturday, January 15, 2022.

She was born to the union of Mick E. and Eunice R. (LaCroix) Mills of Columbia, Louisiana on Wednesday, May 18, 1932 in Columbia, Louisiana.

Mrs. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Dorothy Rushing, and Loried Crain, and five brothers, Clifford Mills, Buford Mills, Steve Mills, Mickey Mills, and Brian Mills.

Those left to love and miss her are her husband of 72 yrs. Norris Elliott,  two daughters,  Evelyn Wilson, of Calhoun, and Dottie Parker & husband Troyce, of Winnfield, two sisters, LaVerne Hopkins, of Cullman, AL, and LaVerle McEntyre & husband Van Dale, Vidalia, one brother,  Charles Millis & wife Kathryn, of Jena five grandsons,  Glenn Wilson & wife Paula,  Andy  Wilson & wife Betty, Jason Wilson & wife Lori, Rodney  Parker & wife Cherie, and Jeremy Parker & wife Sheilia, and eleven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 17, 2022, in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 17, 2022 in Chapel of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home with Rev. David Hutchinson, Rev. Andy Wilson and Rodney Parker officiating. Mrs. Irene will be laid to rest in the Belah Cemetery, in the Belah Community near Jena following the service.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jeremy Parker, Glenn Wilson, Jason Wilson, Logan Wilson, Nethaniel GJesdal, Dennis Elliott. Honorary pallbearers are Austin Parker, Dalton Parker, Peyton Wilson, and Andrew Wilson.
